Absentee Payroll (AP) Funding

Find out how to qualify for and claim AP funding when sponsoring employees for SSG-approved courses.

AP funding is a grant to help defray some manpower costs incurred when you send your employees for training courses funded by SSG.

  • Funding rate: Flat rate fixed at S$4.50 per hour of attended training
  • Cap: S$100,000 per organisation per calendar year

Your employee(s) must first complete the training course before you can make an AP Funding claim.

Eligibility criteria

You must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Your organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
  2. The training course is SSG-funded and found in the Course Directory for Business.
  3. The employee(s) you are claiming for must be a Singapore Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Long Term Visitor Pass Plus (LTVP+), and fully sponsored for the training
  4. You make CPF contributions for the employee(s).

How to claim

Inform the course training provider about AP funding. They will start the claim process for you upon completion of the course.

You will then receive an email to complete your AP application. Please note that this does not happen immediately once the course ends and is dependent on the overall claim process.

When you have received the email:

  1. Log in to Claim Absentee Payroll funding.
  2. Navigate to the ‘AP Funding’ tab.
  3. Declare your employees’ hourly salary information (before CPF deduction).

If your claim is approved, funding will be disbursed to your corporate PayNow within two and a half weeks after submission.
